CTVSP is a member
of la "ROUE DU ROY" a skeet and sporting clay range
located in Hemmingford Quebec. As a corporate member of this
club CTVSP would like to invite all those who are interested
in spending a day shooting some skeet or maybe try your luck
at Sporting Clays.
Requirements
You must be
a member in good Standing at CTVSP
You must obey all the rules set forth by La Roue du Roy
You Must wear the appropriate clothing for the sport

What is
Skeet
The object of skeet is to shoot a series of 25 clay birds shot
from 8 different positions.
These clay birds are thrown into the air by mechanical machines
set in two different houses. The High House and the Low house.
These houses are placed facing each other at a distance of 21
yards from the center of the shooting field.
The shooter on his turn will start on position one where he will
call for the bird. First bird is called from the high house,
and the second from the low house. After which on his third call
he will get a double meaning a bird from the high house and the
low house at the same time.
In the first position, the second position, the sixth position
, and seventh position the shooter will shoot a total of 4 birds
per position.
From the third, fourth, and fifth position the shooter will shoot
only two birds from each position , (meaning only one bird from
the high house and one from the low house no doubles)
However if during the skeet course if the shooter misses one
bird he may use his option shot at that time
This will be a total of 24 birds leaving the shooter with one
shell left over if he has not missed a single bird. The 25 th
shell must be shot from the eight position low house. |

FAQ
What if I
don't own a Shotgun?
If you do not own a Shotgun CTVSP will have shotguns that you
can rent for the day.
What is the cost of a shotgun rental ?
The club will rent you a shotgun for the day for $25.00
What about the ammunition?
You may buy ammunition at La Roue du Roy.
What other cost will there be?
You have nothing to pay to CTVSP other than the firearm rental
if You do not own shotgun.
What charges Will I expect at La Roue du Roy?
At La Roue you will have a $15.00 dollars Guest fee.
You will also have to pay for the clay targets that you shot.
The cost is $7.00 for a round of Skeet (25 Clays)
If you decide to shoot Sporting Clays it will cost you $17.00
for a round (50 Clays).
Does La Roue du Roy have a Club House?
Yes the club has a clubhouse, which is furnished with a full
restaurant and bar to serve your needs.
How do I get there?
All those that will be going to La Roue du Roy and who do not
know the way Will be asked to meet in front of CTVSP at a specific
time, and we will all go together.
Do I have to be an experienced shot gunner?
No, However some knowledge about using a shotgun is highly recommended? |

What is Sporting
Sporting clays can be easily explained as a simulated hunt. In
a sporting clay course the machines that launch the clay birds
are placed in strategic places so that the birds are launched
facing you, away from you, or launched rolling on the ground
to represent a rabbit.
The shooter places himself in a shooters cage, where he will
call the birds. The clay birds may be given to you on your call
(report pair ) or simultaneously. Each station is different and
the amount of clays shot per station may vary, depending on the
course design. In a normal course you will shot a maximum od
50 rounds although this can change in the case of a Sporting
clay tournament. |

Conditions
These events will start around the end of May and will be held
on a regular basis
Those who are interested can put their name on a list posted
on the club bulletin board.
These events will usually be held on a Friday or Sunday.;
Before you sign up please make sure that you are free to attend,
cancellations at the last minute or no shows, will mean that
you will be preventing someone who may have been otherwise willing
and free .
The people will be selected on a first sign up basis . (meaning
the first people to sign up will be the first chosen.) All those
who do not show up will be placed on an availability list.
Only members of CTVSP may attend this event you may not take
along any guests
The usual agenda for the day will be one or two runs of skeet
and one or two runs of Sporting Clays. This will cost you around
$65.00 not including your ammunition or your rental if you do
not own a shotgun , or your restaurant consumption.
